Re: Map Orientation (?)
The map was posted in the original Kickstarter and I know there was some conversation about it way back then. Can’t remember if they ever officially said but my impression was that they oriented it that way to shake up people’s perceptions and see Turtle Island, not just the United States with diffe...

Re: Additional Sample Characters
One thing to realize is that they aren’t fully built characters. I don’t think they spent all the skill points and just gave each character role-specific skills.

Re: Legendary rank
Although it doesn’t specify in the rules, it is logical that you start at 0. Legendary ranks are awarded as you grow your legend. Your first Legendary rank comes when the group finishes an entire story arc, competing a long term group goal. In my mind it would correspond to roughly 5th, 10th and 15t...

Re: Skills-General vs specialized
You only add the specialization rank, not both. But your example is impossible. With a few exceptions, the general skill includes all possible specializations. So you can’t have general rank of 5 and specialization of 2. If you had skulduggery at 5 and wanted to specialize, you would spend 3 session...

Re: Notice mechanic?
We had our first session yesterday. The way we ran stealth is that on a normal watch, when we didn't know if something was out there, opponent rolled stealth against our mental defense. Even with my increase in mental defense, opponent was successful. Later, when we had run a surveillance drone near...

Re: Notice mechanic?
Definitely consider the positive modifiers to even it out. Don’t think there was one for size of group trying to sneak but I’m adding that. But truth is that a competent stealth oriented person should succeed when the potential observer isn’t aware that they are there. I would even consider rechecki...

Re: Helping rules question
Awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience. Changing SN seemed obviously powerful. Adding dice less so. But it seems multiple dice may he too much too

Re: Notice mechanic?
My reading is that there isn’t a mechanic that gives you the chance to notice them, they roll against your mental defense. Which means that it’s pretty easy to have a dice pool that succeeds on stealth if someone isn’t aware of you. Once the other party is aware, then it’s investigation checks to fi...

Re: Specialized Skills and Their Costs
I had something half typed last night and never finished it. Glad I didn’t because it would be redundant. All of this makes perfect sense. However, please clarify how advancement works in relation to skills that require specialization to use (or to use well, like Aniicha blades). Let’s say you start...
