Things are moving along! I’m currently communicating with someone who has the potential to be our new Lead Artist and help keep us on the timeline that will get our Kickstarter launched before the end of the year!
In the meantime, here’s what else we’ve been up to!
- We’ve got a new writer on board! Derek Pounds is already turning out some great content, including some nation building stuff that I think you’re going to love.
- I’ve been working on equipment and technology design. Everything from mag-bows to sunwings and gats! You likely don’t have a clue what any of those are, but you’ll be finding out soon.
- I’m currently re-vamping Initiative and Lethal Damage to be more simple and accessible to new RPGers.
- I’ve made a couple of appearances on gaming related shows. If you’d like to hear me talk about Coyote and Crow (and representation and diversity in games), you can find me on this episode of Meeple Syrup and this episode of the Brenzor’s Dead podcast.
Last and most importantly, in the month leading up to my birthday, I’m running a GoFundMe campaign for the game. More specifically, I’m raising funds specifically to go toward extra art from Indigenous artists, above and beyond what we’ll be raising in Kickstarter. Especially during these chaotic times in our country, I really want to be able to afford to give every Native I can a chance to participate in this game and bring their own unique voices to it. If you can spare anything, this money will only be used for Native creatives on Coyote and Crow (regardless of whether we fund our Kickstarter or not). You can find it here until 9/13/20: gf.me/u/yp88sr
That’s all for now. I hope you’re having a great weekend. Stay safe, stay 6′ apart, wear a mask.
